Experience

- Promoted to SDE2 in 2022 on the Cloud Development Kit team — AWS’s infrastructure-as-code platform with 4M+ weekly downloads.
- Designed and built a telemetry platform for CDK CLI serving 100k+ invocations/hour; alerts the team to regressions within 15 minutes. Foundational shared service consumed across Dev Tools org.
- Architected CDK’s validation framework integrating default, 3rd-party, and bespoke annotations into a single layer with suppression and auditing support for enterprises. 10+ external plugins built on the framework including cdk-nag (250k weekly downloads).
- Re-architected the failing npm ingestion workflow in Construct Hub (catalogs 3k+ CDK constructs) to a robust AWS Lambda / Step Functions architecture that protects against eventual-consistency bugs that caused frequent missed package updates.
- Own cdk-pipelines-github end-to-end — a CI/CD platform for deploying CDK apps via GitHub Workflows. 27 unique contributors, 381+ GitHub Stars, 20k+ weekly npm downloads.
- Developed reveries, a continuous-learning subsystem for the Kiro CLI that observes developer sessions, detects personal patterns, and builds a per-user library of “instincts” that make Kiro CLI better over time.
- Reduced the CDK module size from 255MB to 53MB by designing a new end-to-end protocol for streaming compressed JSII assembly files.
- Designed CDK Merit Badgers — an incentive system that assigns a badge to every open-source contribution and guides beginning contributors to mentorship from tenured contributors.

- Fully owned all phases of the software development lifecycle for a new CDK Construct modeling AWS CloudWatch Synthetics, launching it in Developer Preview a month ahead of schedule.
Remote
- Cultivated student understanding in data structures, AP Computer Science, and USA Computing Olympiad (Bronze & Silver).
- Developed curriculum for a new Python Algorithms course; conducted diagnostic trial lessons and screened instructor applicants.

Live flight tracker with real-time AI narration. Pulls transponder data from the OpenSky Network, enriches each flight with FlightAware details, and renders aircraft on an interactive Mapbox map color-coded by status — arriving, departing, or cruising. An AI spotter calls out interesting flights overhead as they appear.
Mar – May 2020 · Personal
iOS app with MVC architecture that lets users design custom railroad networks of cities and tracks. Implemented graph structure and Dijkstra’s shortest-path from scratch.
